Seasoned educator with over 30 years’ experience in International Baccalaureate (IB), Canadian, American, British, and Indian curricula. Worked in senior leadership roles across primary and secondary levels. Led authorization and implementation of IB diploma and Cambridge International Examination (CIE) programs. Extensive knowledge of school planning and management (financial budgeting, teacher training, curriculum planning). IELTS and English as a second language (ESL) training experience. International exposure. As High School Principal of Canada Knowledge Academy, trained a team of teachers, developed course outlines, and successfully got the school pass the inspection conducted by Ministry of Education, Ontario, Canada.
Led, organized, and conducted School Immersion programs/student exchange programs for international students around the globe. Escorted several students in 2015 and 2016 from Dubai and Kingdom of Bahrain to attend Berkshire Activity courses in London. Later in 2018/2019 and 2020 invited hundreds of students to attend short term courses in Ottawa, Canada.
Dr. Rashida is a Certified Teacher and Referral partner of IDP, IELTS Canada. During the Pandemic, she started an online school, Canadian Educational School to prepare students remotely to enable them to face the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) confidently and get the band they need to pursue their further studies in any prestigious college or University in Canada.
Dr. Rashida worked collaboratively with educational partners around the globe with the thirst to attractstudents of all ages to Canada to attend student exchange programs/Language programs. Have a very strong network with educators and students around the world with the burning desire to give back the wide knowledge I have gathered through my vast expertise and experience. During the IB authorization visit, led Arabian Pearl Gulf School, Bahrain, and got the school authorized in 2007 as an IB World School. Conducted orientation sessions for all stake holders. Developed the mission, vision and philosophy of the school by aligning to those of IB. Highlighted the importance of the IB Learners’ profile and conducted weekly training sessions for faculty members to understand the IB Diploma curriculum model, internal and external assessment criteria, the learning outcomes and expectations of SL and HL in DP, TOK, CAS and Extended Essay requirements and the internal and external deadlines. Facilitated and escorted IB Diploma students to complete some CAS hours in London, UK in Old Age Homes and Orphanages. Ensured successive batches to earn the Diploma with good scores and helped them get admitted into leading universities. Attended the IB Coordination workshops in Greece and Dubai consecutively. In 2014 led Al Rawabi School, a prestigious private school in Bahrain to become an IB World School and again saw successive students passing with good grades and thereby ultimately joining reputed universities.
