Sawrav Barua- Global Scholarship Contributor & Representative of Canada & Asia Pasific Region. Sawrav Barua is a lifelong development practitioner, cultural activist, social researcher and human rights worker. For more than one decade, he has been working for the rights of the underprivileged and neglected people of the society.

He studied in management. Apart from cultural practice, writings, and development work he estabilished Songshoptaque (A social, cultural and human benevolent organization), the organization works for the rights of people with disabilities, underprivileged women and children. With his initiative and Songshoptaques’ support rehabilitation and rural information-technology centre named Kalyani was established for the distressed villagers and helpless disable.

He also established Karnaphuli Human resources Development Institute, Shoptorsi, Coastal DPO Alliance(CDA), Rohingya Refugees Obscure and many other development organizations. As a creative initiator, he performed his duty as Director Operation of AlivEducation (A new way to foster student excellence) and Pro-active Education for All Children’s Enrichment (PEACE) from 2015. Before he was the Chief Executive Officer of Songshoptaque since 2000.

In his childhood, he left the rural environment of his village and grew up in the city experiencing the monotonous city life. Besides writings, he is contributing to tke knoladge making industry and working relentlessly for the establishment of a discrimination-free social system, environment protection movement and human rights.
