Douglas Bryce Farrow

Professor of Theology & Christian Thought

Douglas Farrow is Professor of Theology and Christian Thought at McGill University in Montreal. He taught formerly at King’s College London alongside his Doktorvader, the late Colin Gunton. Professor Farrow is a member of the Academy of Catholic Theology and is active in the work of the Institute on Religion and Public Life (Manhattan) and of Evangelicals and Catholics Together. He is also a consultant to the Cardus Religious Freedom Institute in Ottawa. He received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for his contributions to public discourse on significant social issues. Dr Farrow has written frequently in First
Things, Touchstone, Catholic World Report and many other journals, both popular and academic, on a wide range of subjects theological, ethical, legal, and political. His recent books
include Ascension Theology, Desiring a Better Country, Theological Negotiations, and a volume on 1 & 2 Thessalonians in the Brazos Theological Commentary series.
