Architect and Artist
As a grandson of a tailor and a son of a watchmaker, Matthew Lee was brought up with the sensitivity of an artist and the skillfulness of a craftsman. During the political distress in Hong Kong, coupled with the global pandemic, Matthew’s experience of being out of place continued to grow. He channels this shared experience into his art initiative, Out of SPACE. Matthew holds a Master in Architecture from McGill University and a Master of Environmental Science from Oxford University.
