Justin (Hüstin) Laku, Sr.

Development & Conflict Analyst

.A conflict & development analyst, Justin was a member staff of the United Nations mission in Iraq and Sudan and a former advisor to the Canadian Secretary of State for Africa and Latin America and Asia Pacific as well as a former staff of the Canadian International Development Agency. He is a founding member of African Diaspora Association of Canada. Justin has lectured on Sudanese, South Sudanese, and African issues in the United States, Canadian universities, Rome, Berlin, Innsbruck, Geneva, London, Slovenia and Amsterdam. Justin is a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Dream Keepers Award. He speaks Arabic, French, and German, and reads and writes Greek and Hebrew. Socially, he is a DJ for both private and public events.
